Learning to steer a kart can give a child an opportunity to try something new, listen to instructions and practise a skill. Each child responds differently. Go-karting should be an enjoyable choice, rather than a test of confidence or a promise of developmental results.
Start with your child’s interest
Talk about the visit before arriving. Explain that track operators will give instructions and that following the rules matters more than speed. A child who prefers to watch first can discuss the available options with a parent and staff.
Check eligibility before promising a ride
Children over 42 inches (107 cm) must drive Classic Karts independently. Adults may not accompany them in the kart, and no exceptions are permitted. For younger or shorter children, ask staff to confirm eligibility before riding. The minimum published height is 31 inches (80 cm), and the combined kart weight limit is 100 kg (220 lb).
Being eligible to ride and feeling ready to ride are different questions. Ask the track operator to explain the requirements. Do not promise an exception to the independent-driving rule.
Notice effort instead of comparing results
Parents can acknowledge listening carefully, waiting a turn or asking a question. Avoid comparing children’s speed or treating the activity as a competition. There is no guaranteed improvement in confidence, concentration or friendships from a particular number of rides.
Plan a visit with options
Classic Kart walk-in bundles on the packages page start at $20 for Basic, $25 for Value and $30 for VIP. Check the page for current inclusions, offers and eligibility. Regular visits are walk-in only; reservations are for birthday bookings.
Parents and guardians must supervise their children at all times and ensure they follow facility rules. Kart Town provides an activity coordinator, an activity schedule and wristband organization; these do not replace parental supervision. Adults may not enter the playground or bouncy castle.

Kart Town offers three two-hour birthday packages: Cancun (Bird Room) includes 8 children, 1 Classic Kart adventure per child, 50 shared Kart Koins, 2 XL cheese pizzas and 8 juice boxes for $328 + HST. Hawaii (Dino Room) includes 8 children, 2 adventures per child, 50 shared Kart Koins, 2 XL cheese pizzas and 8 juice boxes for $388 + HST. Rio (Monkey Room) includes 15 children, 2 adventures per child, 100 shared Kart Koins, 3 XL cheese pizzas and 15 juice boxes for $638 + HST. Playground, bouncy castle and toy car area access are included.
