Children who are interested in steering and driving may enjoy trying a kart activity. At Kart Town, families should compare the venue’s actual Classic and Formula Kart options instead of relying on specifications from competitive kart racing.

The appeal of trying the controls

Listening to the operator, steering and following track instructions can be part of the experience. Let your child ask questions and decide whether they want to participate. The activity does not guarantee improvements in school performance, concentration or confidence.

Check the requirements for the kart

Children over 42 inches (107 cm) must drive Classic Karts independently. Adults may not accompany them in the kart, and no exceptions are permitted. For younger or shorter children, ask staff to confirm eligibility before riding. The minimum published height is 31 inches (80 cm), and the combined kart weight limit is 100 kg (220 lb).

This is the Classic Kart rule. Confirm Formula Kart eligibility and operating requirements directly with staff or the Formula Karts page. Do not assume that racing-league ages, engine specifications, speeds or equipment requirements apply at Kart Town.

Birthday packages use Classic Karts

Kart Town offers three two-hour birthday packages: Cancun (Bird Room) includes 8 children, 1 Classic Kart adventure per child, 50 shared Kart Koins, 2 XL cheese pizzas and 8 juice boxes for $328 + HST. Hawaii (Dino Room) includes 8 children, 2 adventures per child, 50 shared Kart Koins, 2 XL cheese pizzas and 8 juice boxes for $388 + HST. Rio (Monkey Room) includes 15 children, 2 adventures per child, 100 shared Kart Koins, 3 XL cheese pizzas and 15 juice boxes for $638 + HST. Playground, bouncy castle and toy car area access are included.

Formula Karts are not available in birthday packages at this time. The track remains open to other visitors; party guests may join the same queue to ride together.

Plan around your family

Parents and guardians must supervise their children at all times and ensure they follow facility rules. Kart Town provides an activity coordinator, an activity schedule and wristband organization; these do not replace parental supervision. Adults may not enter the playground or bouncy castle.

Regular visits are walk-in only. Compare current prices and inclusions on the packages page. Birthday bookings require a reservation.

Formula Karts are a separate experience

Kart Town introduced Formula Karts as a newer experience. They are separate from the Classic Karts, which are designed for children aged 2 to 9, and they are not available for birthday parties at this time. Ask staff about the current requirements for Formula Karts when you visit.

Why children enjoy a faster-feeling ride

Many children enjoy the sense of racing and improving with practice. The key is that every child follows the track operators’ instructions and the venue’s rules.

Who can ride

Requirements differ from the Classic Karts, so confirm with staff before purchasing. The Classic Kart rules include a minimum height of 31 inches (80 cm), solo driving for children over 42 inches and a combined weight limit of 220 lb (100 kg).

Plan around a party

If a guest is keen on Formula Karts, remember they cannot be part of a birthday package. Walk-in visits do not require a booking.
